What do you think of my daughter's party? too much?!!?

my daughter is turning 7 this coming thursday so i'm throwing her a fairy princess b-day party this coming saturday. my bf is also turning the big 30 that same day so we are having a little party for him too at the same time (in another part of the house).

there are about 30 people coming total (11 people are family). 8 little girls are coming for my daughter.

we are serving hamburgers, hot dogs, and mac n' cheese for all the guests (i encouraged everyone to bring along a dish as well).

for my daughter:

-decorations are: cake table w/pink tablecloth, glitter, and butterfly sequins. serving table w/purple tablecloth, glitter, sequins, and a vase w/fake pink roses and butterfly balloons. there will be a flower garland around the front door and glitter along the walkway (we have a gravel front yard so no mess to worry about)

What do you think of my daughter's party? too much?!!?
You sound like a wonderful mother and I think you have done a great job to make your little girl have a wonderful and memorable birthday party. I disagree with the other person, I do not think she is spoiled, I simply think you have done an excellent job preparing and are a very kind mother. She is very lucky to have you !
Reply:What a great party. We do theme parties too. We did a tea party one year with printed menus and "finger foods". The girls dressed up in gowns I bought at the thrift stores. They are only little once. In a few years, they won't want you at their birthday parties so enjoy it now.
Reply:I think it sounds great, nothing is too much for your child if you can give it to her, small amount of guests, and made it special for her, I think you will make her very happy, you are a great mom.
Reply:i think it sounds like a swwet party and she will love it i am 33 and still remember 1 big party my mom had like that it was my 10 and i will never forget it so do it and enjoy
Reply:awesome..but wheres the pony?

Reply:sounds cute
Reply:Can I come too?

You really sound imaginative! This party is going to be great and you are teaching your daughter proper etiquette, how be be a gracious hostess, social skills...this is so much more than just a party. So for those who are negative-maybe you should plan a little party of your own...you have some things to learn about life.

Besides-you can't spoil her if she really is a princess!
Reply:Awww what a great mom you are... She's going to remember this forever.. I could never think of creative ideas for my daughters birthday.. I usually had them at McDonald's, Pizza Hut and the bowling alley.. This year is the big 13th party (the gray hair is coming in fast!! lol)and I'm having it at the Water Park.. It's going to cost me the same as it would at the bowling alley but there is more to do..

Happy Birthday to your Princess..
Reply:It sounds adorable, the girls will have a blast! Sigh, I am not creative at all, my daughter's last bd party was at the local bowling alley. She loved it and everybody had a great time, but I could never do anything so creative and fun at my own home.

best wishes to all!
Reply:No, I think its lovely, birthdays are very important to little girls and if she missed out last year it would be a lovely way to celebrate the missed one as well. Birthdays are special events and I dont think having a big, nice thing every once in a while is spoiling your child.

It sounds like it will be wonderful.
