My grown kids, granddaughters, some close family friends, and I will be holding a small family ritual %26amp; picnic outside this coming Sunday to celebrate.
Reply:Well as Beltane is a Celtic festival, I'm incorporating some older traditions. I'll be extinguishing all the lights in my house and lighting a single candle. A far cry from a bonfire I know, but I'm sure a bonfire in an apartment building would go against restrictions hehe.

Then, after a brief ritual, I will "re-light" my candles one by one. I won't be jumping over any though.

Add: Wow why are people giving thumbs-down to Moiraes Fate? She can't help it if she's busy and can't observe it. Up until yesterday I thought I was going to be like that.
Reply:again Belatine is an irish custom and means May.the so-called fire festival is the lighting of a bonfire and the village gathers around in, eats and chats until the fire has gone out.we do not jump over it any more.
Reply:I didn't even think about it. Things have been so hectic with the moving to a new country thing in the last month that it didn't even occurr to me. Honestly, I doubt I'll do anything. I have more important things to worry about.
Reply:I'm going on a picnic this weekend. :-D

And I'll probably prune back my dad's plants. I can make garlands out of the flowers. It's about the season to start drying blooms again... At least here in the south.
Reply:Candles flowers broom and food! Yes, I do celebrate! Have fun!
Reply:Going to a fire festival this weekend.
