Silk or real flowers ?

Real or silk flowers for your wedding which and why?

I am using a mixture of both.

Silk for the garlands in the hair to better match the wedding colors and due to the time of year the ones I want can only be gotten in silk. Real to carry beacuse they come with the location.

Silk or real flowers ?
Personally Silk! I am doing all silk! I have several reasons why it better than real and there also can be down falls, But the good out weighs the bad.

1.) The one thing I have herd almost every bride say "the flowers were wrong, the ribbon was wrong, the color was wrong" It is the most complained about thing is the flowers.Know you and I know no one else will know the it wrong but the bride always remembers. Silk flowers can be done in advanced and you can see the finished product before your big day.

2.) you don't have to worry about them wilting, not opening, or turning a different color, (I am having white roses and I have seen the real roses turn yellow due to weather conditions) in all her pic you could tell the flowers were dying.

3.) For those brides who have had there flowers dried, cover your eyes. Do you know what they use to dry your flowers? Kitty litter. Yes it true, it the same stuff they just have it in dust form! So you paying way to much for flowers to be set in kitty litter.

4.) You can keep them for ever and ever and never worry about them. Cheaper, They look better than the real thing because most of the time the real ones die before the night up, because they were made so far in advanced.
Reply:I would only do real flowers. I think silk flowers are a bit tacky for such a special day, but do whatever makes you happy!
Reply:I personally prefer real flowers because to me they look better and are more elegant.. Silk flowers are tacky to me and when the wedding is over do you really want to be stuck with 5 silk flower arrangments ?
Reply:We are doing 2 real arrangements to honor those members of our family and friends who are no longer with us. The bouquets and coursages and boutniers will all be silk cause they last forever.
Reply:ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS REAL FLOWERS! Nothing tackier than fake flowers at a wedding!
Reply:I went with all silk, Me and my mother did all the flower arrangements and carry. it was cheaper and I could get what color I wanted to.

I will have my flowers for ever and can share them with are children. they look butterfly with are wedding pitchers.
Reply:For the bouquets, corsages, and boutonniere I will use real flowers except for my FMIL because she loves silk flowers. I will use pink silk rose petals to decorate the reception tables because my centerpieces are simple.
Reply:Real. Flowers are an important part of the day, in that my flowers aren't traditional. I'm doing a non-traditional bouquet for myself- only because I think I should carry something up the aisle because free hands look weird in that situation, as well as my maids. And the centerpieces will have tulips, but also in a non-traditional way. It's hard to explain. I give up

I'm not doing silk for two reasons: I don't like silk flowers, and I don't want to have them lying around after the wedding being that we'll probably be moving shortly afterwards.
